Man Fears Genius Stifled By Blog Format

A man in a coffee shop yesterday told a friend that he feared his enormous talents were hamstrung by the format of his current blog in which he purported to summarize conversations that he may or may not have actually overheard. He expressed an interest in continuing to bring these sorts of moments to his infinitesimally small readership, while at the same time freeing up the format in order to more broadly define and share his vision, namely, a photoblog with no pictures. He suggested that he might put his site through some changes over the weekend and relaunch his digital utopia the following Monday. He then predicted it would probably end up being a disaster.
His friend then removed his headphones and asked if the man had said something.
No, he said, nothing important.

lol, I thought you either had extra sensitive hearing or embellished a lot. ;) Because I never hear anything like you do and I do try!

I have been reading this blog for several months...I think I found it on yahoo webpage of the day or something like that. I am interested to see what you'll do next...carry on...

p.s. I've warned people about you and not to talk too loudly in public places...ha!

"Infinitesimally small"? Have you been eavesdropping on my girlfriend, too?

My ego is crushed but my interest is piqued...

Sorry, did you say something? ;)

Blogs develop, whether we like it or not, and sometimes it's best just to go with them and see what happens. You know my feelings on the matter - I think the concept is brilliant and you do it very well. Having said that, I am interested in the new format you're thinking of and looking forward to getting a look at it.

Traffic is always the problem, isn't it? There are ways and means (I notice that you're using the traffic exchanges a bit these days - not a bad idea) to improve traffic, but we should not forget that much more important than passing traffic are regular readers. So we need to be thinking about how to keep those who happen to pass by. Just one suggestion: interaction with regulars is very important - people like to feel that their voice is heard. And that means getting involved in your own comments system. This builds community which does not dissipate easily.

There - my two cents... :D

Very sound advice Gone. While I rarely speak up in the comments section, know that I wildly enjoy seeing what yourself and the other regulars will have to say about a particular post.

Really traffic is not a concern, just want to be working on something provides an entertaining challenge three days and week, both to me and those who stop by. For the most part, it's really going to be more of the same, and I hope those of you who already stop by will continue to do so.

Or maybe, just maybe, there are a lot of us lurkers. We're still reading.

Judging by the recent photo and the lunch you ate today, the quest for million dollar abs is over. Sorry to hear. But if you're working on spilling drinks with only intent... great work.
