Do what you think is right, contribute, support what needs support either monetarily or through your time, but advertising it is only self-satisfying behaviour.

I am sure that some who wear these bands get a comfort from them, if they are people who have a personal experience. But for the majority of people, it is a fashion statement.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8659408.post-1116614814724277112005-05-20T11:46:00.000-07:002005-05-20T11:46:00.000-07:00People (and the things they do) never fail to impr...People (and the things they do) never fail to impress me.Harryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18313556878709472843noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8659408.post-1116599319133241122005-05-20T07:28:00.000-07:002005-05-20T07:28:00.000-07:00One of the MDs I work with refuses to support the ...One of the MDs I work with refuses to support the yellow armband because Armstrong dumped his wife who'd stuck with him throughout his ordeal...and has said this to at least one cancer patient who took comfort from wearing it.Jodiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10073613592950338092noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8659408.post-1116587012298781822005-05-20T04:03:00.000-07:002005-05-20T04:03:00.000-07:00Interesting. It is good to give to charity, yes, (and I am presuming that wearing the armband indicates that one does so) but to advertise the fact smacks of smug self righteousness.Wyrfuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01108378377720475315noreply@blogger.com
